DESCRIPTION:The 53rd International Karl Barth Conference took place from July 17th to July 20th, 2023 on the topic “Creation as Benevolence? Karl Barth’s provocation”. The venue is the Chrischona/Basel conference center. During four days of lectures, working groups, free socializing and intensive discussions, students, pastors, doctoral candidates and teachers form a temporary theological learning community.\nProgram:\nConference with 75 participants\nRooms: \n\nMeeting room 1+2, conference seating\nNordsaal, coffee breaks\n9 break-out rooms\nFoodnote Coffeehouse, lunch and dinner\n\nAV:\n\nProjector and screens\n\nCatering:\n\nBreakfast, 2-course lunch und dinner at Foodnote Coffeehouse\nCoffee breaks with snacks\n\nSpecials:\n\nThe church was used for morning services\nWorking groups were able to spread out across the spacious grounds\nBreakfast hotel for overnight stays\n\n
